ESI was a subcontractor to Castle Rock Construction Co. on the Chambers Road Widening for Douglas County.
ESI performed the Asphalt Paving portion of this contract which included widening of 2 new North Bound lanes and the Mill and Overlay of existing 3 South Bound lanes for a 1 Mile segment of Chambers Road between Main Ave. and Lincoln Ave. This project was a high visibility project with tight deadlines, public traffic, very tight material specification and a category I smoothness specification that was met.
ESI project management staff was heavily involved in the project with the general contractor, town and county personnel (inspector and quality assurance) and quality control. The Douglas County team was exceptionally pleased with ESI’s quality, performance, teamwork and attitude throughout the project so much that they nominated ESI for the “City Street” award with CAPA (Colorado Asphalt Pavement Association).
